Your RV is like a second home on the road, and it should be outfitted with all the comforts of home, including curtains. On RVs, curtains play a more varied role than simply providing privacy from the windows outside. They may be used to partition off bunks or close showers. You also have the option to use them to block out light and/or cold from exterior windows by choosing light blocking or insulating material for your RV curtains.
When you order your custom-made RV curtains from us, you will need to provide certain information to ensure that you get curtains that will fit. The information can be gotten one of two ways, depending on whether you are having new curtains made or replacing existing curtains.
If you choose to replace old curtains on your RV, just take down the old ones and measure their length and width. Should you decide to add curtains to your RV and have never had them before, measuring is simple. Just measure the length you want the track to be for the window or opening. If you want to cover the windows on the sides of your RV, be sure to take individual measurements for all the windows and do not assume that they will be exactly the same. The same is true for the height of your curtains. Stretch a tape measure from where the base of the installed vehicle curtain track will be to where you want the bottom of the curtain to hang down.
Once you have the measurements for your curtains, you will need to pick the material color and optional lining. Linings may be added for blackout or insulation purposes. The material used in our RV curtains is 100 percent flame retardant. This conforms to the NFPA 701 and MSVSS-302 standards.
Don’t forget about how you will hang your curtains. Be ready to select the drapery hardware to use with your curtains when you place your order.
If you have bunk beds on your RV you would like to provide curtains for, we have those, too. Our bunk curtains have snap tape sewn into the top to make hanging and removing the curtains a snap. It also is a safer option for bunks in traveling vehicles, like RVs or boats, because it prevents a person from becoming dangerously tangled inside the curtain.
Don’t take another trip in your RV with the sun’s glare in the faces of your passengers or a lack of privacy for those in the living area. Get your RV curtains custom made today by our curtain experts here at Curtain-Tracks.com.
