NOTHING BUT NET
Grilled burgers and fruit salad, a day at the beach, the smell of sunscreen on sun-warmed skin – these are a few of our favorite things about summer. Or at least we think they are. It’s been so long it’s hard to remember. If memory serves, summer is warm and sunny and relaxing and we are big fans. We’ve got a long list of pros and a short list of cons. At the top of the con list? Bugs. Itchy red bites, West Nile Virus, and Malaria – these are a few of our least favorite things. Compound this with the fact that we don’t like the smell of citronella and putting DEET on our skin frightens us, and we are indoors before the sun goes down. Good thing there is a solution to this pesky problem. Yep, you heard us. We’re talking about using curtain tracks for mosquito netting.
KEEP TRACK OF YOUR BUGS
Installing curtain tracks for mosquito netting can be done on your porch/patio, and doesn’t have to look like you are on safari. Check out the picture in this blog. Long dark sheers look chic and can be opened or tied back during the day. The 32124 Low Profile Ceiling Mount Curtain Track or 42124 Ceiling Mount Curtain Track work well for this purpose. They can be drilled directly into the ceiling (no mounting brackets required) and mounted end to end with additional tracks for longer lengths, allowing you to enclose the entire area when needed. This is a great alternative to a closed in porch.
The low profile of these curtain tracks for mosquito netting allows the curtains to brush against the ceiling leaving no open space at the top for unwanted visitors to gain entry. These tracks are compatible with the 7120 Single Snap Carrier, which is used with snap tape that is sewn into the curtain panel. This system allows you to quickly and easily take the curtains on and off the track as needed when the seasons change.
