RVs & Travel Trailers
Mobile health centers can be found across the country delivering needed health care, annual screenings, COVID-19 screenings, and even allowing people to donate blood. The sizes and styles of these vehicles range from large motorhome / bus sized vehicles to smaller shuttle sizes. The interior of these vehicles also differ from each other depending on the service they provide, but all have a similar mission: to help people.

As health organizations venture into cities and neighborhoods to deliver care, their mobile health centers must first be properly equipped and part of that means providing privacy for every single patient. Using curtain tracks and curtains helps these providers achieve this critical need. The first step is to ensure the windows are properly covered. A Curtain-Tracks customer recently made some upgrades to her RV by adding Curtain Track 3110-4 to the window frame and mounting it with 2-sided foam tape. The 3110-4 track is made of PVC plastic and is not only flexible, it is also non-corrosive, and rust free. She then added 3042 glides sewn onto the curtain and 3032 end caps.
When it comes to adding privacy curtains to your mobile health clinic, you have many choices. Our privacy curtains combine safety, style, ease of use and care, as well as affordability. Depending on your specific needs, they can be made with or without the mesh at the top and are typically sewn with rust proof nickel plated brass grommets on 6 inch centers across the header. Our Privacy Curtains are constructed in any height and come in incremental widths of 18 inches. In addition to privacy curtains, we can provide your organization with the appropriate curtain tracks, hardware and accessories.
We know every vehicle is different which is why our friendly customer service team is ready to help. Our team can help you create the perfect solution and walk you through not only the ordering process, but also help guide you during installation.
To all health care providers, thank you for the sacrifices you make each and every day, especially during this pandemic. We thank you for your dedication and commitment to helping others.
For many, vacation plans were put on hold this year. Cruises, flights to exciting places and even week-long stays in a hotel to visit a different part of the country were cancelled or postponed indefinitely due to COVID-19. The impact on the travel industry has been devastating. According to ustravel.org and a forecast prepared for the U.S. Travel Association by Tourism Economics (both domestic and international), through the end of 2020, the report estimates $505 billion in losses for the travel industry for a total of $81 billion in lost federal, state and local taxes by the end of 2020. The travel industry is not expected to recover until 2024.” With that being said, Americans are getting creative with their vacation plans by planning day trips, staycations, and even camping more, whether in a tent or an RV.
CAMPING IN STYLE
RV camping has increased in popularity in 2020 because it allows families to get away yet socially distance from others. The benefits of RV camping abound! Most vehicles include a kitchen, a toilet and shower, and of course, air conditioning. Families can go out hiking for the day but come back to their RV, shower and relax with the AC blasting. At Curtain-Tracks, we have seen an increase in RV owners wanting to upgrade their home on wheels and one of the most common projects we help with are custom curtains.
NO TWO ARE ALIKE
Every RV is different, especially when it comes to windows. Adding custom curtains not only personalizes your home away from home, it ensures the curtains will fit correctly. Recently, a Curtain-Tracks customer added custom curtains to his RV. He chose the Shadow Cube fabric in Oatmeal and had them made to perfectly fit his windows. He had 3089 tailslide tape sewn across the top and Velcro tabs added on the right front side, the center and bottom. He then added custom tiebacks with Velcro. After he received his brand-new curtains, he contacted the Curtain-Tracks team.
“We just installed the curtains in the RV. They fit perfectly and the color is just right too. Even the backside liner color works well for us. This is a very professional addition to our RV. I have attached some pictures to show you how they look. I will be showing these curtains off and will give your contact information to those interested. Thanks very much for your help.”
Nothing makes us happier than having our customers contact us after they have completed a successful project. If you have an RV, motorhome or boat, and need custom curtains, curtain tracks or hardware, we are more than happy to hep you as well!
Food trucks have increasingly grown in popularity over the past few years, and why wouldn't they? Food being cooked in a mobile vehicle - how cool is that?! A "Food Truck" can be almost any kind of vehicle: a trailer, school bus, shuttle bus, or just a plain ol' truck. The inside of food trucks can also vary from owner to owner and often depend on the type of cuisine that is being served up. However, most have a refrigerator and a stove and the rest of the truck is packed with boxes of non perishable food and serving items. All of that extra, but necessary, stuff, can be cumbersome and get in the way and if a food truck has a lot of windows, guests can see the disarray of these items and as the old saying goes, perception is reality. If a food truck looks unorganized, cluttered and basically unkempt, the perception could be that it isn't sanitary and who wants to order food from a place like that? Food trucks owners - you can relax. There is a solution - cover those windows!
Curtain-Tracks can create custom curtains for your vehicle, no mater the make or model. With some states implementing out of state travel restrictions this summer due to COVID-19, families are getting creative with their vacation plans in an effort to avoid hotels, planes, and other public places. They are purchasing RVs. In fact, in a recent Business Insider article, it stated that the RV Industry Association found that a survey revealed that 20% of US residents have become more interested in RV travel over air travel, tent camping, cruises and even rental stays. "According to a study conducted by Kampgrounds of America (KOA), which runs a series of privately owned campgrounds, 34% of prospective US and Canada-based campers say that road trips will be the safest form of travel when stay-at-home orders have been lifted. This increasing interest in road trips may also lead to 46 million Americans will take an RV trip in the next year, according to the RV Industry Association."
Not everyone is buying a brand-new RV though. Purchasing a used RV can bring just as much joy as a new one but at a lesser cost. For those who have purchased a used RV, there are ways to upgrade this new home on wheels to truly make it yours. We suggest starting with the windows. Whether you are looking to replace the windshield wraparound curtains, window curtains, divider and bunk curtains or even shower curtains, Curtain-Tracks can supply custom-sized RV curtains to fit any vehicle including recreation vehicles (RV), campers and motorhomes. We know that no two vehicles are exactly alike which is why having curtains custom made will ensure the perfect fit. Not only will your new custom curtain fit impeccably, we offer flame retardant fabrics which meet FMVSS 302 standards as well as lining materials for improved blackout and insulation purposes. So they look great, are safe and super functional!
Curtains aside, you may also want to update your curtain tracks and hardware. C-T customer Lila T. recently updated her RV. She used Track 3110-4 and mounted it to the window frame with 2-sided foam tape. This track is made of PVC plastic and is flexible, non-corrosive, and rust free. She then added 3042 glides sewn to the curtain and 3032 end caps. The end result is a refreshed look to her home on the road.
If you are planning on hitting the open road in 2020 and want to update the look inside your RV, Curtain-Tracks is here to help! The restoration included mechanical updates, new flooring, wood walls and headliner, all new upholstery, a canvas pop up tent, door seats, paint, and of course, all new curtains. Joe contacted us for a few different products to help complete his project.

HIT THE ROAD
If you have a van, camper or large SUV and are looking to make your vehicle something more than just a mode of transportation, such as a place to catch a nap or decent night's sleep while traveling, you might want to consider adding some divider curtains.
If you search online for creative ways to add curtains to your vehicle, you will come across several blogs of adventurous travelers sharing how they turned their van/SUV/camper into a home on wheels by doing just that. Some were creative by using wire affixed to each side of the van, while others used velcro on the ceiling. We are all about being innovative in your efforts but if you are looking for a solid, secure way to cover your windows or divide the front from the back to create separate spaces, we can help.
Curtain-Tracks customers David and Deborah added curtain tracks and curtains to their 1995 EuroVan Camper a few years ago and they used several of our products. They travel frequently and were looking for a way to create a divider between the front and the back of their camper. They used 3112 Curtain Track. It is made of PVC Plastic and is available in white, brown, gray, and black. Customers can easily drill mounting holes during installation and it is flexible for arched applications. They added 3115 Curtain Track End Caps, and 3091 Snap Tape, which can be sewn onto curtains and attached to the 3070 Snap Carriers to create ripple fold draperies and curtain panels (which Deborah made).
Once it was all installed, the curtains were used to close off the back of the van. We think the end result is fantastic and even included their photos in our website Photo Gallery or you can read more about their project on their blog.
There's nothing like updating your home, whether that home is permanently affixed to the ground or is a home on wheels. Lila T. from San Antonio, Texas freshened up the inside of her home on wheels and is ready to hit the road this summer now that her project is complete! She recently sent us photos of her completed project and the end result looks fantastic.
For her project, she used Track 3110-4 cut to length and mounted it to the window frame with 2-sided foam tape. This is a PVC plastic track and is flexible, non-corrosive, and rust free. She added 3032 end caps, and 3042 glides sewn to the curtain. To top it off, the curtain material has a black-out backing for privacy and also helps block light and absorb sound.
Lila T. used Track 84003-S cut to length and drilled holes to mount to the bottom of the shelf with flat head screws. This is a strong aluminum architectural track that accommodates smooth rolling ball bearing carriers and is available in white, silver, or black. She then used 84134 end caps, 84102 micro carrier, and 4146 pin hooks. She did all of this with two other identical windows.
THE END RESULT? FANTASTIC.
Whatever your project, the friendly and knowledgeable customer service team at Curtain-Tracks is here to help you every step of the way. Lila said, “Thanks for the great products!” Thank you, Lila, for sending us pics of your finished project! It looks great!
Curtain-Tracks customer, Carrol M., recently emailed us photos of her project using our polyester glide tape. Her and her husband have a 2001 Monaco Knight motor home and they wanted to replace their windshield curtains as the old ones had stiff vinyl glide tape and were difficult to reuse. Carroll put on her creative hat and went to a local store and purchased some curtains. She turned them sideways and they fit the windshield! We love it when our customers are creative!
We love it when our customers are creative! Carrol discovered 63" x 42" curtain panels worked perfectly for her motor home project so she purchased four of them. She then purchased 7 yards of glide tape from Curtain-Tracks. Our 2097 Sew In Glide Tape must be sewn to the curtains and is sold by the yard. Her handy husband sewed it on using their sewing machine. Carrol said, "We skipped the pleats. Who needs pleats? Your site is the only place I could find the polyester glide tape except the manufacturer. Thank you so much!"
Thanks, Carrol, for sharing your project with us. We are so happy we were able to help!
AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL
Albert Einstein once said, "Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better." We think one great way to do this is to explore our national parks. In fact, our national parks offer America the Beautiful passes which covers entrance fees at national parks and national wildlife refuges as well as day use fees at national forests and grasslands. If you are thinking of visiting some of our fantastic parks in 2018, how about sprucing up the inside of your RV or luxury van?
RVs, CAMPERS, VANS, OH MY!
Over the years, we have worked with dozens and dozens of happy customers who have used our products to renovate the inside of their home on wheels. C-T customers, David and Deborah wanted to separate the cab of their 1995 EuroVan Camper with the back so they used the 3112 Plastic Curtain Track, added snap carriers and snap tape. This track is very easy to install and works well in a small space. The snap carriers and snap tape allow the curtains to be easily removed if they need to be cleaned or if you want a new look.
For those who would like to cover the front windshield and two side windows of their RV, Curtain-Tracks’ 4108 Bendable I Beam Curtain Track is a perfect solution. If you find that you need more than eight feet of length, you’ll want 4130 wall splicer or 4128 ceiling splicer. And don’t forget the end stops! 4132 end stops are designed to keep the curtains in place when open.
