Fire Prevention Week
FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
The National Fire Prevention Association is the leading information and knowledge resource on fire, electrical and related hazards. Since 1922, the NFPA has sponsored the public observance of Fire Prevention Week. This year, they recognize Fire Prevention Week is October 7-13. This year’s FPW campaign, “Look. Listen. Learn. Be aware. Fire can happen anywhere,” works to educate people about three basic but essential steps to take to reduce the likelihood of having a fire––and how to escape safely in the event of one.
FLAME RETARDANT
When it comes to having items in your home or workplace that can help prevent a fire from spreading, we recommend our fire resistant curtains. Our Eclipse Light Blocking Curtains are 98% Light Blocking, Sound Absorbing, Energy Conserving, Machine washable, but best of all, 100% flame retardant and they meet NFPA 701 requirements.
Not only are these curtains flame retardant, they look great as well! We recently received this testimonial from a Curtain-Tracks customer, “Had some very large curtains made for our rental properties. These curtains really do add a rich feel to the space and block the light from the huge wall of windows. They did take a few weeks to get here but it was worth the wait. Will order again.”
STAYING SAFE
Take a look around your home or workplace and look for places where a fire could start. Once you identify potential fire hazards, take care of them. Perhaps that means replacing your window treatments with flame retardant materials. If you are looking for fire resistant curtains, please contact our Customer Service team. We are here to help.
