1. Remove the doors and measure the width across the top. If you are thinking of mounting a curtain track on the wall just about the door frame, consider adding a couple extra inches on either side. This will help ensure your curtain covers the entire door space. Do the same if you are mounting it on the ceiling.
Tip: If you decide to go with a ceiling mount curtain track, adding a long curtain will help elongate your room making it appear larger.
2. Order the curtain track of your choice (ceiling mount? wall mount? plastic? metal?) as well as end stops and carriers. A popular choice is our 84003 Ceiling Mount Curtain track kit, which comes with everything you need including the drapery hardware necessary for installation, including carriers. Once you select the track and added accessories, select the curtain for your new closet door. We have several options to choose from that will look great!
