Curtain-Tracks.com uses FedEx to delivery a large majority of our packages to our customers. Whether the curtain tracks are shipped via ground service, 2nd day, or next day delivery, FedEx does a very good job for us of delivering our drapery hardware promptly and in good condition. An article today about hidden images in logos caught our eye this morning, and inspired one of those "ah ha" moments. Despite having a FedEx truck at our facility daily, and having their packaging boxes and envelopes around constantly, we had never noticed the hidden image in the FedEx logo. Can you spot it?
ON THE ROAD
With Amazon Prime memberships on the rise, that means more and more packages are being delivered daily. That also means more truck drivers are working long hours, and for that, we are thankful! The packages that magically arrive on our door step in two days is simply life changing! In addition to being thankful, we have some great products for these amazing truckers to create an oasis right in the cab of their truck.
SHUT EYE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY?
Our Eclipse Light Blocking Curtains block 98% of light, which is really important for that mid-day nap at the truck stop. Worried about light sneaking through the corners? Our Bendable Curtain Track can bend to any shape to allow one piece of fabric to cover the window and the corner. Another tip is to order a bit more height or length and allowing the fabric to cover all the way to the roof, below the window, and wider than the edges to ensure total coverage. The Eclipse fabric comes in heights that increase by six inch increments and widths that increase by 18 inch increments.
NEED YOUR CAB TO FEEL LIKE HOME?
When you want the cab of your truck to feel just a bit more like home, our Eclipse fabric is available in 28 colors. Choose the color that makes you feel happy and relaxed and you automatically set the stage for coziness. After all those hours spent in a truck, you should like how it looks. And if you are unsure about the color and how it will match the existing upholstery, just contact us for a free sample.
Our shortest track, CurtainMate, measures in at just three feet in length, so you don’t have to worry about cutting down a track that is too long for a small truck cab. It can be joined end to end for a custom fit. In addition, it’s made of plastic that can be bent when it’s warmed in hot water. It is one of our most popular products for vehicles because it is the most narrow. Why is this good, you ask? This track protrudes less than a half inch away from where it is mounted, which allows very little light through in comparison to its counterparts.

Tired of sticking holes in your walls or struggling with the sticky residue from adhesives and tapes just to hang pictures or posters? You can still hang them without turning your walls into Swiss cheese. A curtain track installed along the top of your wall provides a convenient, unobtrusive way to hang all your pictures, like in the image below.
Staying ahead of your competitors is something most businesses think about, and often. Whether it is creating better processes, developing new innovations, exceeding at customer service, or promoting your company to potential customers, business owners have to constantly think about how they are going to keep that edge. In this post, we are going to talk about the last point: advertising, and how an effective strategy can help a company go from good to great.
YOUR POINT IS...?
You may be asking yourself, "What do curtain tracks have to do with advertising?" We understand your query so let us explain. Advertising happens in many ways. Just a few include implementing digital strategies, traditional marketing including standard banner signage promoting products or services, as well as event marketing which may include participating in consumer or industry trade shows. When it comes to some traditional marketing strategies such as signage to promote your business, Curtain-Tracks can help. Our 610 EasyKlip Midi Tarp & Banner Clip and 600 EasyKlip Mini Tarp and Sign Clip are super handy. They allow you to hang a banner, signs, or even a tarp and are designed to increase clamping pressure as the load against them increases, making them the strongest on the market. Promoting a SALE? No problem. You will love these banner clips!
EVENT MARKETING KNOW-HOW
When it comes to event marketing and participating in a trade show where you have a "mini store-front" to attract attendees, you want to make sure your space stands out from the hundreds of others. Most standard booth spaces are a 10 x 10 space that comes with a covered 6' table, two chairs and a waste basket. Doesn't sound that inviting, does it? The clips mentioned above can certainly secure your company signs, but some of our other products may prove to be extremely helpful in making your booth stand out, including creating a frame that wraps around your booth space. The 4108 Bendable I-Beam Curtain Track can be hand-bent into curved shapes, and mounted to the frame. Adding curtains to the track will make your space visible by giving your booth some height as well as framing the space. This look will catch the eyes of attendees (aka potential customers) all the way from the other end of the long aisle.
ARE YOUR WHEELS TURNING
We hope we got you thinking outside the box when it comes to a couple creative ways to promote your business. Should you have any questions, reach out to our customer service team. We'd love to help you stay ahead of your competition!
Older homes often have a lot of character, like arched entryways, beautiful crown molding, cozy little nooks and sometimes even odd angles. The uniqueness of each older home sometimes poses a decorating challenge, especially when walls aren’t completely symmetrical. When it comes to window treatments, of course we always prefer using curtain tracks over rods, but especially in a home that may have a sloped ceiling; a curtain track will always win.
OPTION 1 & 2
Don’t be intimidated by the unevenness of a sloped ceiling. Ceiling-mounted curtain tracks offer a solution. You can install the track directly into the slope of the ceiling but then you need to decide about the curtain panel. You can leave it in a rectangular shape and have the bottom hem follow the angle of the ceiling or you can purchase or make a very long panel and cut it so that it fits the space provided. Either is acceptable, but the first has a bit more of a drawback. Transforming your rectangular curtain into a parallelogram is easy, but will leave an opening near the floor and increase the perception that the room is off kilter. The second option of trimming a corner of a long curtain to fit the space will create a dramatic look, but opening the panel becomes tricky as the longer side of the panel will pool on the floor when moved to the shorter part of the ceiling-which isn’t necessarily bad from a designer standpoint as curtains that pool slightly on the floor are all the rage in the decorator world.
BEHIND DOOR 3
There is an option 3. Hanging our 88001 Privacy Cubicle Track offers another option. Suspend the track to make it level. Our suspension parts, compatible with 88001, will allow you to install the track on a sloped ceiling using suspension tubing. Simply cut the tubing to length, and attach one end to the ceiling with the 88204 Ceiling Flange, and connect the other end of the tubing to the track with the 88202 Track Adapters. The tubing is attached by drilling a hole to allow the mounting bolt to pass through the tubing. You will see this method in retail stores, lofts and other establishments where there are extremely high ceilings.

We've recently read a few articles discussing the many downfalls of open office spaces. A recent article in The Journal Times shares, "Across America, companies have torn down walls, built big open spaces, and designed work environments to make it easier than ever for staff members to talk. But what's been the effect of all of these open spaces? A series of new studies suggest that open workspaces aren't all they're cracked up to be. In fact, opening up offices may actually have the effect of decreasing communication and hurting productivity rather than helping it." What this article, and several other we have read, is trying to say is this kind of environment actually decreases face-to-face communication. But if you have an open office space, what are you to do? Start building walls? This can be time consuming and expensive. However, there is a solution that allows you to break up an office space when needed or open it up for large meetings: curtain walls.
DIVIDE AND CONQUER
Curtain walls can divide a space into smaller offices and conference rooms for brainstorming sessions and we have everything you need! The 6200 Heavy Duty I Beam is a strong track that can be mounted to the ceiling or the wall with the appropriate brackets and can divide the room beautifully. The 6100 F6100 Flexible Track on the other hand, is great for creating a few cubicles. Adding Eclipse Light Blocking Curtains to the curtain tracks will help also absorb sound so larger meetings don't disrupt others working at their desks.
Imagine doing this project over a weekend and having your team walk in on Monday. Do you think they would love it? If this is a project you are considering for your office space, contact our Customer Service team at 1-888-465-0274 and we can help you.
AS SEEN ON TV
Shows such as Counting Cars on the History Channel and Fast and Loud on Discovery “trick out” cars with extravagant accessories (think large spoilers, eleaborate rims on the tires) and paint jobs that catch your eye. These shops that are featured on tv often have large, open spaces giving them plenty of room to perfect their car craft. But for body shops across the rest of America, the space may not be as large. When this is the case, our industrial track is perfect as it can enclose a space, which is especially useful when painting a car. This track is a strong, heavy duty track that can hold industrial strength curtains. When closed, a car can be painted safely without harming nearby cars.
SUPER, DUPER STRONG
This heavy-duty Industrial Roller Track - 16 Gauge Galvanized Steel is roll formed from 16 gauge hot dipped galvanized steel, sold in 8-foot lengths and rated to support loads between 100 - 175 pounds. Now, that's strong! The Industrial Roller Track is popular for many reasons including its compatibility with a wide range of mounting hardware, curved sections, trolleys, splicers, and end stops. The track is constructed with a safety flange to assist in guiding trolleys safely when the curtain is pulled and is punched and beveled on ends for splicing and adjoining multiple pieces. Mounting options include flush ceiling mount, chain mount, beam flange mount, wall mount, or threaded rod mount.
CAR WASHES AND MORE
This track is not only found in autobody shops, you will also see them in warehouses, loading docks, welding areas, aircraft hangars and even in commercial car washes. This track is that good! You can find more information on this extra strong track here or give us a call (888) 434-7444!
STYLISH AND FUN
Looking to add some flair, pizzazz or style to your bedroom? Remove that old boring closet door and add a beautiful curtain! It’s as easy as 1-2-3!
1. Remove the doors and measure the width across the top. If you are thinking of mounting a curtain track on the wall just about the door frame, consider adding a couple extra inches on either side. This will help ensure your curtain covers the entire door space. Do the same if you are mounting it on the ceiling.
Tip: If you decide to go with a ceiling mount curtain track, adding a long curtain will help elongate your room making it appear larger.
2. Order the curtain track of your choice (ceiling mount? wall mount? plastic? metal?) as well as end stops and carriers. A popular choice is our 84003 Ceiling Mount Curtain track kit, which comes with everything you need including the drapery hardware necessary for installation, including carriers. Once you select the track and added accessories, select the curtain for your new closet door. We have several options to choose from that will look great! At Curtain-Tracks, we have the largest selection of tracks and accessories so you are sure to find exactly what you are looking for.
3. Install your new curtain closet door. Here you will find easy installation instructions for the curtain track and accessories or you can contact our friendly customer service team. We are always happy to help.
There’s just one more thing... be sure to send us a picture! We would love to feature it in a future blog post and on our social media channels!

SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER
School might be out for summer which makes this a great time to get those copy room, storage areas and classrooms in order! To create a “tidy” space everyone can enjoy come this fall when school is back in session, try this tip!
The Mayo Clinic wrote an article, "How Decluttering Your Space Could Make You Healthier And Happier". While this article focuses on tips that can help us as individuals, the same could be applied to a workspace. We know schools have a lot of supplies and rightfully so. But if you want to create a space that at least *appears* less cluttered and can eliminate some stress for the teachers and staff, well, that's a start. One suggestion we have is to consider hanging curtain tracks in front of a storage area (copy paper and staplers, anyone?). These copy/storage rooms often have shelves to store classroom necessities but the space can quickly become unkempt. Adding a curtain that can be closed around the storage space when not in use can keep a room from looking as though everything is in disarray.
When it comes to selecting a curtain, we have a wide variety to choose from and can even custom make one for you so it fits perfectly. If you are looking for something just a bit different and perhaps, motivating, you might want to consider ordering a curtain with a motivational quote. Etsy is an online marketplace that offers some unique styles to choose from and CafePress.com will allow you to customize a curtain with a photo (perhaps even a photo from the staff holiday party)!
Although adding a curtain to conceal a storage area doesn't necessarily help with the actual organization of the items placed on those shelves, when pulled closed, it can give the entire room a feeling of organziation and tidiness and hopefully eliminate some of that stress that disorderly places can cause. If you take on a project like this, we would love to feature your photos in a future blog post! Simply contact us at email@example.com!
EVERYTHING IN THE PALM OF YOUR HAND
SMALLER IS BETTER
We live in a society where it is fairly common to want more but there are benefits to living with less. Becoming Minimalist shares 12 benefits of owning less and not only does having fewer items make it easier to clean your space, you will also spend fewer dollars and have less stress. For people that embrace a "less is more lifestyle" and live in a smaller (or tiny) home, there can be some challenges, specifically when it comes to storing those items. Off-season clothing, linens and kitchen items need a place when not in use so we suggest rethinking a closet space you already have. One way to maximize closet space is to remove the door entirely and adding a curtain.
EVERY INCH COUNTS
Removing the door and replacing with a wall or ceiling mount curtain track, along with a decorative curtain, not only enhances the look of your space, it also allows for some extra room to store those items. Maximizing space is critical when living in a small home with limited storage and using curtains instead of a closet door will allow you to utilize every single square inch. Simply install a durable curtain track along with carriers, end stops and mounting hardware and adding a curtain to an existing closet, and you will instantly create some extra space in your home.
Our friendly customer service representatives can help you decide on the best curtain track and accessories for your closet door and are happy to discuss any other storage challenges you might be facing in your home. Give them a call at 888-434-7444 and they will be happy to discuss this with you.
NOT THE END
End Stops are recommended to be used on each end of a curtain track. They keep carriers or glides on the track and can be used to anchor the curtain at the end or in the middle of the curtain track as needed. On our website under the Hardware & Accessories tab, if you click on End Stops, you will find several that you can choose from.
A FAN FAVORITE
One of our favorites is the 88136 End Stop. The 88136 Metal End Stop is compatible with the 88001 Privacy Cubicle Track (Hospital Track), an aluminum track with silver satin finish commonly used in hospitals and clinics for privacy curtains. These End Stops have a metallic silver finish, are sold individually, and additional screws are not required. They are super easy to use!
LOOKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE?
If this isn't the exact end stop style you are looking for, we offer several additional choices available. Please don't hesitate to consult with a Curtain-Tracks team member to get expert advice and helpful hints. Give them a call at (888) 434-7444 and they will be happy to help!
