In 1967, Pierre Le Vec and Pierre Moulin opened a shop in Greenwich Village in NYC with the intent of bringing the beauty of French Country decor to America. They quickly discovered that the curtains, pillows and fabrics they used to accent the furniture sold spectacularly. Over time, the business evolved to include décor for every room in the house. Presently, Pierre Deux is a growing national chain of retail stores that continue that original focus.
Privacy Cubicle Track is a ceiling mounted track that is typically used to hang privacy cubicle curtains, divider curtains, shower curtains or other curtains that have grommets across the top. There are several reasons why this type of track is the industry standard, being the hardware of choice in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, spas, gyms, locker rooms, dance studios, and retail outlets across the US.
When it comes to certain projects, we know sometimes you can't find exactly what you are looking for. For example, if you are remodeling your bathroom and decide to install a floor to ceiling shower to create a sleek, seamless look, you just might not find the perfect shower curtain to complete the project. That's when Curtain-Tracks can step in and help you by making a custom shower curtain!
USE THE BEST
Architects, designers and DIYers contact us for remodeled and custom bathroom projects because we have tracks and curtains that can be made to specific measurements. First however, you should consider how the curtains will hang. Curtain tracks are often to go-to because they offer greater stability than curtain rods and our ceiling mounted curtain tracks are the best on the market (and perfect for showers). Once you select your track, check out our custom-sized shower curtains that are available in a variety of materials. If you are looking for a shower curtain that is wider than a traditional curtain, or you need a curtain that is taller to accommodate a ceiling mount curtain track, we can help by making a custom shower curtain.

With custom-made shower curtains, the finished product will not finish at the exact width ordered. We adheres to industry standards that bases all curtains on CUT WIDTH. This means the approximate loss may vary up to 3.5” per panel. The reason is is due to varying fabric widths, side hems, and panel seams. The following chart is based on 72” fabric width.

Food trucks have increasingly grown in popularity over the past few years, and why wouldn't they? Food being cooked in a mobile vehicle - how cool is that?! A "Food Truck" can be almost any kind of vehicle: a trailer, school bus, shuttle bus, or just a plain ol' truck. The inside of food trucks can also vary from owner to owner and often depend on the type of cuisine that is being served up. However, most have a refrigerator and a stove and the rest of the truck is packed with boxes of non perishable food and serving items. All of that extra, but necessary, stuff, can be cumbersome and get in the way and if a food truck has a lot of windows, guests can see the disarray of these items and as the old saying goes, perception is reality. If a food truck looks unorganized, cluttered and basically unkempt, the perception could be that it isn't sanitary and who wants to order food from a place like that? Food trucks owners - you can relax. There is a solution - cover those windows!
Curtain-Tracks can create custom curtains for your vehicle, no mater the make or model. Customers can choose from a variety of custom fabrics and materials (to match or coordinate with your brand) and that will work perfectly for window curtains, divider curtains, and even windshield wrap around curtains. - Superior Stain and Odor Release Properties

- 100% flame retardant. Meets NFPA 701, MSVSS-302 standards

TRENDY AND COOL
HGTV has always been one of our favorite go-to's when it comes to the latest style and trends. When we saw their post with this photo of floor to ceiling curtains and curved walls, we just had to share. There are so many great things about every single thing in this picture, we just can’t hide our excitement! Let’s break down everything we love about these curtains.
BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
Somehow, the curtains in this room design are both a focal point and a back drop. This is the beauty of floor to ceiling curtains. They can blend into the wall if you use similarly colored paint and fabric; they can serve as an attention grabber if you choose opposite colors; and, obviously, they can actually cover windows. For this type of project with the unique curved walls, we love our best selling flexible curtain track.
The beauty of our flexible track is that it can be custom bent (by hand!) to follow even the most unusual curve. This attention to detail helps to create the custom look that prevails through the entire room. Something as simple as this detail can be the finishing touch that pulls everything together.
LOTS OF CURTAINS
One of the outstanding features of this room is the amount of texture from the curtains. In addition to being pristine white (beautiful!), there is a lot of fabric which creates a great deal of texture. With a large amount of fabric, even when the curtains are drawn closed, there is plenty of texture to go around. Our 6100 track is the perfect fit here because it comes in a heavy duty gauge to handle the weight of the curtains.
When choosing your track, you should consider the style as well as the total weight of the curtains. Weight comes not only from the type of fabric, but from the quantity of fabric as well. Many people forget to factor in the height of the curtains, which can add a fair amount of weight that will need to be hung on the track. Our selection of heavy duty tracks can stand up to the challenge.
BEST SELLING FOR A REASON
The 6100 track has so many great qualities, it’s no wonder it is one of our best sellers! It can be used in so many different applications and it can create such a custom look. Visit Curtain-Tracks.com to order yours today. Don’t forget to check out the compatible products at the bottom of the page to finish your project. You’ll need mounting cartridges for every ten inches of length.

I never realized how many possibilities there were with curtain-related products until I helped my friend Mal, the CEO of a small fashion-based public relations firm, complete her business’ move into a new loft location in a trendy New York neighborhood.
How many of you view online photos to help determine which hotel room you’ll book? It’s human nature to want to see as much as you can before you spend hard earned money on an experience. Have you ever noticed that many of the online hotel pictures include the lobby? Go ahead, do a quick Google search. We’ll be right here when you get back.
So, why do the hotels share these types of lobby pictures wih us? It’s not like we will be spending very much time in the lobby after check-in. But, it does serve as our first impression. And in the service industry, like hotels, first impressions matter. Simple and updated decor are must-haves in a hotel lobby to impress guests who choose their hotel, and more importantly, envourage a return visit to the hotel.
THINK OUTSIDE THE WINDOW
One simple strategy for adding an element of design and decor to a hotel lobby is by adding curtains. We really need to break away from the notion that drapes are only for windows, because our products can be used for so much more! Once you break out of that window box, the possibilities just keep coming. Maybe you want to put a backdrop behind the check-in desk or around the concierge desk? What about a subtle division between two areas in the lobby or two meeting rooms? Fabric as decoration has been used for years but continues to be a great and often overlooked option.
If you’ve read our previous blog posts, you’ve heard us mention how great curtains can be for adding depth to a space. There is something about layering curtains against a wall but behind furniture that gives a space a sophisticated, finished look. It creates interest for the eye, and makes an overall appealing first impression for hotels.
To create depth with curtains, first you’ll need a reliable track like our 42124 ceiling mount track. We think a ceiling mounted track makes a lot of sense when using curtains in non-window situations because it gives you the flexibility of hanging them away from a wall. Screw the track into a stud in the ceiling, and the track will be able to handle a fair amount of weight from very luxurious curtains. We really love the 42124 ceiling mounted track because it doesn’t require any mounting hardware; the screws are put in directly through the track.
Once you have the length of track for the space, you’ll want to do some math. You’ll need to measure the space you want to cover and multiply by 2 or 3 to determine how much fabric you want for your curtains. The higher the number you multiply by, the fuller the curtains. We like to believe the fuller, the better when it comes to creating a high-end look. We really like our shadow cube curtains for a contemporary, sleek look. This is especially important for hotel lobbies who often try to create a high end feel.
What combination of curtains and hardware do you like best? Check us out at www.curtain-tracks.com and create the hotel lobby that will make a great first impression!
We recently stayed in a hotel in downtown Chicago and were immediately impressed with the décor in the lobby. The architecture was stunning and the tall windows with curtain tracks behind the lobby bar were absolutely fantastic. The tall windows drew the eyes up and made the space feel elegant and sophisticated.
DON’T BE INTIMIDATED
Decorating tall windows doesn’t have to be intimidating. You can create an elegant look in your own home (even if the ceiling isn’t quite as tall as a hotel lobby), simply by adding the right track. One type of curtain track that is useful for tall windows is our 3120 Extra Heavy Duty Curtain Track. It has a thicker top wall for added support and is available in Silver or Black anodized aluminum. This track is compatible with 7140 Double Wheel or 7146 Short Snap Carriers.
Once your tracks are installed, you need to decide on the curtains. Oftentimes, our customers will add a simple set of sheers. This creates some privacy while still allowing light to shine in. To add a more dramatic effect, you can add billowing curtains that can be open or drawn closed. Next, consider the length of your curtains. There are two schools of thought on curtain length: 1.) Curtains just hit the floor, or 2.) Curtains break slightly and extend to the floor 3-4 inches. The second option creates a look that is a bit more relaxed. After you decide on the length, consider the width of the curtains. We suggest curtains have a combined width that is 2 to 2½ times the width of the window which will create fullness even when the curtains are drawn closed.
READY TO TRY?
The next time you are in a hotel and notice the elegant tall windows, think about the tracks that are used to design that look and how you can recreate a similar look in your own home. Don’t be intimidated by your tall windows, instead, embrace the decorating possibilities! Our friendly customer service team is here to help you select the right curtain track, hardware and curtains. GETTING SOME AIR
Curtain tracks are used in a variety of places: homes, hospitals, clinics, RVs, boats… we could go on and on. But one other place you will see curtain tracks that you may not have previously thought about, are in airplanes.
WHERE IN THE WORLD?
You may think, “Where in the world would there be curtain tracks in an airplane? They certainly aren’t on the windows.” Well, depending on the airline, you will see curtain tracks separating the main cabin from the business class seats and you will also notice them at the back of the airplane separating the main cabin and restrooms from the galley. The galley is the area where flight attendants prepare drinks and snacks. On a particularly long flight, they may draw these curtains closed to allow them some privacy from the passengers. Think of it as their “break room”. This is a fairly small space so the actual amount of curtain track needed is minimal but the system is the same that you will find in other places - simply a curtain track, carriers, and curtains. A couple tracks we suggest for this use are our 3120 Heavy Duty Curtain Track or our 6100 Flexible Curtain Track. For curtains that will help block sound, we suggest our Eclipse curtains.
FIRST AND SECOND
For the curtain track and curtains separating the main cabin from business class, oftentimes this isn’t a solid curtain but rather a mesh curtain that allows flight attendants to see the entire length of the plane even when the curtain is drawn closed. However the purpose is the same, when closed, it allows for added privacy. You will notice that the curtains separating the cabins as well as in the back of the plane have a curtain tieback that holds the curtains open while the flight is taking off and landing. When the flight attendants want to close the curtains, they simply release the tieback and pull the curtains closed.
TAKE A LOOK AROUND
The next time you fly somewhere (and we hope it’s somewhere fun!), take a look around the plane. If you see curtains somewhere else besides where we mentioned, tell us about it. Better yet, send us a picture. But be sure to only take a picture when the Fasten Seat Belt sign isn't illuminated!
CREATE THE WOW FACTOR
When you put your home up for sale, there is so such to be done, including staging for potential home buyers. According to Realtor.com, “Curtains are one of the most underused resources when preparing a home for sale, experts say. The right set of curtains or drapes can make or break some home sales—especially when it comes to transforming a room into the staged version you want your buyers to see.”
One of our customers, Michael V., was putting his Arizona home on the market and wanted to make some upgrades to his windows. He worked with our friendly customer service team and ordered several products including the 85000 curtain track, both ceiling and wall mount options and available in white, silver, and black, for the windows and closets in his home. He then added floor to ceiling curtains.
Along with curtain track 85000, he also used 84106 Wheeled Snap Carrier - Corded For Ripplefold and the team at Curtain-Tracks helped Michael by doing 60% fullness ripple fold styling for this project. Curtain fullness refers to the number of ripples or folds when the curtains are pulled closed.
When staging your home, Coldwell Banker suggests, "Installing curtains and blinds as close to the ceiling as possible draws the eye up and makes the room appear bigger. Panels should skim the floor." Michael did just that in every single room and the end result is fantastic!
In one room, Michael removed the old closet doors and added curtains on the 85000 track. Viola! Closet curtains! Replacing dated closet doors and adding a stylish curtain can create a completely new, fresh look for the entire room.
As he was preparing his home to be sold, he didn't just upgrade his window treatments, he also created a new look in the bathroom by adding aluminum track 88001, which is available in 6 foot, 8 foot, 12 foot and 16 foot sections. He used 88102 Privacy Cubicle Two Wheel Carrier with Ball Chain & Hooks and added a robin's egg blue shower curtain.
Michael's efforts paid off. He recently contacted us to say, "I had 3 offers in 2 days of showings and just accepted one above asking price. In part thanks to your awesome curtains!" Thanks, Michael. You certainly created the Wow factor. We are so happy for you and wish you much happiness in your new home!
You have just installed new curtains, but the last thing that you want is for those curtains to become dirty quickly. This can happen if people constantly grab the ends of the curtains to open or close them. There is a better solution to this. Use curtain batons or wands to allow for curtains to be opened without hands touching the material.
Sometimes, even your curtains need a quick getaway, or at least a quick, easy way to be released from their track. Snap carriers are an ingenious gadget that allows just this. These carriers are hung directly from a curtain track, but rather than have a hook, they have a “female” snap that fits into the “male” snap on a product called snap tape. The tape is sewn into the top of the curtain or drape, and allows the whole panel to be snapped right onto the carriers.
