Our customer support team gets a lot of calls and emails at Curtain-Tracks.com asking for advice on how to hang curtains or draperies on Bay Windows. Because the bay window is typically comprised of three or five separate windows oriented at angles to one another, it can create a challenge for anyone hoping to improve the appearance of their room with window treatments.
We have the opportunity to speak with customers located across the US every day, helping them to select the right curtain track system to meet their needs. It is always great to hear back from customers after their project is complete. Sometimes the feedback offers constructive criticism that guides us through our continuous improvement efforts. Sometimes it is a simple thank you. Other times customers share images and descriptions of their projects. The entire team at Curtain-Tracks.com welcomes customer insight.
Installing a drop ceiling is a great way to hide an existing ceiling that isn’t aesthetically pleasing, and create a cozy feeling in a room, but it can make hanging curtains a challenge, but certainly not impossible.
ONE OF OUR FAVS
You might have heard us mention the 6100 Flexible Curtain Track in previous blog posts or on our Facebook page. We talk about this fabulous track so often because we love how diverse it is. Whether you are working on a small project in your home, boat or RV, or even on a larger project, chances are, this track will be the best product for the job.
Our 6100 Flexible Curtain Track is one of our most popular tracks and for good reason. The flexible track is a white, I-beam configuration track that can be mounted to the wall or the ceiling. It’s a durable track with an internal metal spine, and is available in standard, medium, and heavy duty sizes to accommodate various weights of curtains or draperies.
It’s not called the Flexible Curtain Track for nothing! What makes it so great is that it can be bent by hand without compromising strength (no need to be Superman!), so it can be used for straight and curved applications. Perfect for unique angles, like bay windows, around claw foot bathtubs, and even storage areas, this track is your go-to for your next project.
The 6100 Flexible curtain track is sold by the foot and requires mounting cartridges every 10 inches. Our new and improved website provides an entire list of compatible products so you can easily find everything you need to complete your next project.

UNUSUAL ANGLES AND CORNERS
If you have ever tried to decorate or refurbish an older home, you know that a perfectly square angle is rare at best. Houses settle and time can make corners and windows slightly more or less than 90 degree angles. Other homes might have unusual windows with intentionally different angles. All of these give homes great character, but when it comes time for window treatments, designers and homeowners are puzzled.
Bob Vila probably has lots of great DIY tricks to help with renovating odd angles, but Curtain-Tracks has an even easier solution: our flexible 6100 curtain track. Homeowners can be happy that there are simple ways to hang curtains on each window in their home. Whether it is Grandma’s old house, a new house that has settled, or even in a hotel, our flexible curtain track will give you a custom look without the custom price.
MEET THE FLEXIBLE TRACK
Curtain-Tracks Reader, Kendra, sent us this photo of her recent hotel stay. Her room was wonderfully quaint and had a boutique style. The windows immediately grabbed her attention because they were an unusual shape. One of the windows was tucked into a corner of the room that served the purpose as a reading nook. Rather than leave the unique style of this space bare, the hotel designer used a flexible curtain track to add even more excitement to the already interesting part of the room. It allowed them to be creative and functional at the same time!
SO MUCH EASIER AND EFFECTIVE
In this particular space, if the designer would have tried to use two traditional straight tracks, they would have had quite the headache getting them to line up perfectly in the corner, and the hotel guests would have had an annoying gap of light between the two separate curtains. Instead, the designer was able to simplify the solution with the 45 degree corner. They used the 6100 track to make one smooth track with no gaps and one large curtain. That means no gaps nor annoying light coming through, and no struggle during installation.
NO STRENGTH NEEDED
Because our flexible curtain track can be bent by hand, the only measurement you need to order is the length. Once the track arrives at the doorstep, two hands are the only tools needed to get the right angle. Then, only a screw driver is needed for installation of the mounting bracket. Easy! Custom! Affordable! A pretty great collection of adjectives, if we do say so ourselves!
