The Importance Of Curb Appeal In Business
We hear a lot about curb appeal and how it is important for homeowners looking to sell their home. Realtors and even HGTV stress the importance of an attractive entryway, nice landscaping, and making sure even the littlest details are take care of, like the paint isn’t chipping around the front door.
GAINING NEW CUSTOMERS
Having nice curb appeal is also important for store owners and restaurant owners. According to the National Restaurant Association, there are 1+ million restaurants in the United States. That means restaurants have A LOT of competition. And while the quality of the food is of the upmost importance, with restaurants on every corner, getting new customers in the front door of the restaurant in the first place can be a challenge. This is when curb appeal is especially important.
We found this image of a restaurant owner who we think, did a great job with their curb appeal. Not only do they have welcoming bistro tables outside the restaurant, they also have an awning to give their establishment a quaint look. To top it all off, their windows have fantastic, eye-catching patterned curtains hung on curtain tracks. We are unsure if these curtains are on a ceiling mount curtain track or a wall mount track, or if they are plastic or aluminum. Regardless, the end result is very nice!
If you are a restaurant or retail owner and are looking for ways to create a great first impression for new customers, as well as returning ones, we suggest taking a fresh look at the outside of your establishment. Look at it with wide open eyes as if you were looking at it for the first time. What would you think? Is it welcoming? Then ask yourself, “What can I do to enhance the curb appeal?” Whether that be new signage, fresh landscaping or curtains in your windows, small changes can mean big results with customers.
