Using Multiple Tracks In A Large Space
When you want to add curtain tracks to a large space, like a wall of windows, as a room divider, or in a conference room, you need multiple tracks. Several of our tracks come in 8' foot or 12' sections but you can lay multiple tracks end to end for a seamless track for your space.
STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW
Installing multiple curtain tracks is definitely possible and will look great when finished if you use the right drapery hardware, tools, and a level. Our 88001 Privacy Cubicle Curtain Track, an aluminum track with silver satin finish that is available in 6', 8', 12' and 16' sections, and the 4108 Bendable I-Beam Curtain Track, available in silver or black anodized aluminum I-Beam track with satin finish and comes in 8' lengths, can be spliced end to end with 4128 ceiling splicer or 4130 wall splicer.
ALIGN YOUR PRINCIPALS
If you are aligning tracks without splicers, the tracks need to be fully aligned to minimize the seam and reduce the carriers from catching on a seam when in use. If at all possible, placing the seam of the curtain tracks as close to the middle of the space as possible where the curtains meet will help minimize the carriers catching on the track.
